Lot 1817

1819 a pair of entire letters by Philip Ammidon, Canton to USA, carried by Trumbull and Savannah respectively. Ammidon correspondence is the earliest known China to America mails according to Scamp. Cover no.8 and 9 in Scamp's article. (HKSC Bulletin 264).

1819年一對Philip Ammidon自廣州寄美國郵簡，分別由Trumbull及Savannah號送遞。Scamp指Ammidon書信為已知最早之中國寄美國郵件。Scamp於其文章中記載之第八及第九件封（HKSC Bulletin 264）。
