Lot 1385

1911 (12 Jul) a document from the Ministry of the Empire to the Chinese Cabinet, regarding the a recommendation of replacing Chinese soldiers with Tibean soliders along the Yizhan route between Tatisienlu and Lhasa in order to save cost. The suggestion was finally approved. Illustration fig 34, p. 59 in "Tibet Stamps and Postal History" by Steve Chazen and Danny Wong.
