Lot 1054

1927 (12 Nov) Certificate of posting for a letter from Ulanbator to England by I.M. Chtabinsky, f.w. Mongolian 3rd issue 10m. It stated that the addressee was the Shriro Brothers, London. I.M. Chtabinsky is believed to have been acting postmaster at Ulanbator PO and he is notorious for producing many revenue stamp ovpt. "POSTAGE" forgeries. 1927.11.12 一份烏蘭巴托寄英國之郵件投遞憑單，出自I. M. Chtabinsky，銷貼蒙古第三版10m。收件人為倫敦的Shriro Borthers。I. M. Chtabinsky相傳曾為烏蘭巴托郵局局長，並以製件印花稅票加蓋POSTAGE之假票而惡名昭彰。Hellrigl著《The Postal History of Mongolia 1841-1941》第221頁圖157原件。
