On front with “DAMAGED BY SEA WATER” cachet. Superb condition for air crash mail. B.O.A.C Portland flying boat on the Dragon route from Hong Kong where the plane crashed into the sea at Bahrain on 23 Aug 1897.

1947.8.18 英國海外航空公司“波特蘭號”空難封，自上海寄瑞士，背貼孫像3000元 + 改值國幣100元x2，銷上海三格點線日戳。正鈐“DAMAGED BY SEA WATER”戳記。以空難封以言品相極佳。英國海外航空公司“波特蘭號”自香港出發，於8月23日在巴林墜入海中。
