1865 Amoy (26 Oct) to USA, sent ‘1-9-1/2” and set “via Southampton”, f.w. Hong Kong QV 4c + 18c + 24c, tied by Webb type A Amoy Paid cds in red. Transit Hong Kong (28 Oct) and further applied B62 obliterator on adhesive. Transit London (22 Dec). Showing “5 CENTS” h.s. With Holcombe signature. When Amoy BPO was established, the stamped covers were required to bring to Hong Kong Post Office for sorting where QV stamps would be cancelled again by B62 obliterator. At the origin Amoy, the red Amoy Paid red cds has been cancelled as well. This method was adopted before the use of A1 and D27 obliterator. Pearson recorded about 16 stamps QV stamps applied with this cds while Webb recorded 13. Provenance: Admiral George C. Dyer

1865.10.26 廈門寄美國，寫有“1-9-1/2′郵資及“via Southampton”批丕，貼香港維多利亞女皇像4仙 + 18仙 +24仙，銷少見Webb A型廈門英局已付紅色日戳。10.28經香港，貼票再鈐B62殺手戳。12.22經倫敦。鈐“5CENTS”戳記。帶Holcombe簽署。 在廈門英國客郵局成立之初，貼票之信封需經香港分揀，並再銷B62殺手戳。在始發地廈門則使用此紅色已付日戳，隨後被A1及D27殺手戳取而代之。Pearson記錄共有十六件貼票封使用廈門已付日戳，Webb記錄則有13件。 源流: Admiral George C. Dyer
