1929 Altanbulak (Feb) to stamp dealer M.F. Shooliack, Harbin. Registered cover, f.w. Mongolian 1st issue $1 with fiscal use circular red seal on front while 5c x3 + 1 dropped stamp on reverse, tied by Altanbulak cds. In combination with USSR issue x3, tied by Troitskosavsk (6 Feb) cds. Cover opened out for display. Mongolian 1st issue were once overprinted for fiscal use. Examples on cover were very scarce. This example was recorded by Hellrigl but probably philatelic given the addressee and combination franking with USSR stamps instead of Chinese postage due issue. Illustration fig. 236, p. 330 in "The Postal History of Mongolia 1841-1941" by W C Hellrigl. 1929.2 阿勒坦布拉格寄哈爾濱郵商M. F. Shooliack。掛號封，正貼蒙古第一版1元加蓋印花用紅色圓戳，背貼5分x3 + 一枚掉票，銷阿勒坦布拉格日戳。加貼蘇聯票3枚，銷恰克圖2.6日戳。封剖開以作展示。蒙古第一版票曾被加蓋紅色圓戳以作印花稅票使用，貼於信封上作郵票的例子十分珍罕。此封見於Hellrigl記錄中，但由於收件人身份以及混貼蘇聯票而非中國欠資票，故應為集郵封。Hellrigl著《The Postal History of Mongolia 1841-1941》第330頁圖236原件。

1926 Ulanbator (3 Jul) to S. Kazakoff, France, f.w. revenue stamp ovpt "POSTAGE" in violet 10c in strip of 3 + 20c, tied by Ulanbator cds. Probably Looshnikoff forgeries. J. Looshnikoff is believed to have been the postmaster of Ulanbator PO. He produced imitative ovpt. "POSTAGE" stamps with genuine revenue stamps. One of the major receipients of Looshnikoff's fake cover was S.Kazakoff. 1926.7.3 烏蘭巴托寄法國S.Kazakoff，貼印花稅票紫色加蓋“POSTAGE”10分橫三連 + 20分，銷烏蘭巴托日戳。應為Looshnikoff假票。 J. Looshnikoff相信曾為烏蘭巴托郵局局長。他在印花稅票真票上私下加蓋“POSTAGE”戳記。貼有這批假票之信封有相當一部分落入S. Kazakoff手上。

Although Looshnikoff was notorious for producing forgeries, he also produced philatelic covers with genuine franking.
